Étude de lignes is the result of some explorations of screen-based interaction using p5.js, aJavaScript library for creative coding, as a medium. At its core, it is mathematical approach to lines and motion.
I kickstarted this project by exploring the canvas and how to create and then manipulate shapes with p5.js in order to write my name. From that point I iterated over twice, each step adding more complexity and playing with a geometrical representation of my name. As I understood how to randomly sketch lines in a delimited space of my canvas, I also decided to animate my sketch.
These explorations provided me with a direction that I absolutely wanted to implement in my poster: play with geometrical lines (as I am highly interested in Maths) and create motion randomizing the lines that would appear in a delimited space. You can see below the evolution of the sketches.
